Abstract:

This research paper explores the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in supply chain management, emphasizing its impact on demand forecasting, operational efficiency, cost management, and customer satisfaction. The integration of AI presents significant opportunities for optimizing inventory management, enhancing forecasting accuracy, reducing operational costs, and improving service delivery—factors crucial for maintaining competitiveness in today’s dynamic business environment. While AI-driven supply chain solutions offer substantial benefits, their implementation comes with notable challenges. Key obstacles include organizational resistance to change, data security concerns, and complexities related to legal and regulatory compliance. Addressing these challenges requires strategic planning and proactive management to ensure successful AI adoption while mitigating potential risks. This study examines case studies of Arab companies that have integrated AI into their supply chains, providing real-world insights into both the advantages and difficulties of AI deployment. These examples highlight the practical implications of AI adoption, offering a balanced perspective on its effectiveness in supply chain operations. In conclusion, while AI has the potential to revolutionize supply chain management, its successful implementation demands careful planning, continuous risk assessment, and an adaptive organizational culture. This paper offers strategic recommendations for Arab companies seeking to harness AI’s full potential, ensuring sustainable growth and long-term operational efficiency.
